Harry Potter lovers are always finding creative ways to honor their favorite books, whether it’s through themed weddings, room decor, or even by tweaking a room in the home. home. In the case of Katherine and Jesse Oldfield, they decided to welcome their new baby with a set of photos inspired by the Herbology class at Hogwarts. And as you might expect, the results are incredibly lovely. See the photos Kelsey Clouse of Lune de la Rogue Photography took.
In the universe created by JK Rowling, magical plants with roots literally squeak when they are pulled from the ground. Or rather, they scream when it happens. And since their screams can kill people (or faint when the plants are young), Hogwarts students must wear earplugs when they come to study them. Hence the idea for the session that Kelsey Clouse, Katherine and Jesse’s photographer, came up with. She dressed her first child, Sebastian, from Harry Potter and turned little Theodore into a taro plant.
“I knew Theo would cry while taking pictures. Luckily, babies tend to do that,” says Katherine.
Interestingly, while the adults persuaded Sebastian not to remove his glasses from his costume, the infant slept in his toilet. However, when his father picked him up to take pictures, tears welled up in his eyes, like a tangerine. And the best part is that the brother’s reaction in the picture of him with the maknae is 100% real!
