Shanina Shaik: Stunning in a see-through dress at the event in LA. (QP)

Shanina Shaik got caught out by the sun on Thursday when her light pink dress went see-through at a glamorous Los Angeles event.

The Australian model, 32, turned heads in the ankle-length sequin gown that showed off her amazing figure.

With a wide smile on her face, she looked excited to attend a soiree for FRWD fashion.

The Victoria’s Secret model didn’t seem to mind the sun sending her frock sheer, beaming as she walked into the venue.

She kept her dark shoulder length locks down and straight and opted for a glowy makeup look with a nude lip.

To finish off the look, she wore a pair of silver stilettos and a simple silver bracelet.

Shanina gave birth to her first child with her partner Matthew Adesuyan nine months ago.

A few days after his birth last September, the model shared a photo of the newborn on Instagram.

In the caption, she wrote: ‘Welcome to the world baby Zai Adesuyan’.

The Melbourne native lives in Los Angeles with her beau and their son Zai.

She added: ‘Matthew and I are so in love!!! I have taken this time to adjust to my baby’s schedule and to understand the role of being a mother. Bringing life into this world is a beautiful challenge.’

She flew her mother Kim Shaik to Los Angeles for the birth of Zai and said that she is her biggest inspiration of how to be a good mom.

Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald last year, the US-based catwalk star said it’s hard being so far away from family, but the move was needed to progress her career.

‘I think it’s quite scary for any parent to see their kid move to the other side of the world, but I’m very grateful to have supportive parents who allowed me to go on my journey,’ she said.

‘My dad and mum always tell me to do what makes me happy, because that will make them happy. They know I am very hard-working and dedicated to my career.’
